Collyweston Stone Slaters Trust
The objects of the trust in accordance with a resolution dated 20th September 2001, are as follows:
(A) To advance the education of the public and to promote greater knowledge and understanding of the skills of Collyweston stone slaters and the production, use and history of Collyweston stone slate.
(B) To advance the education of the public concerning the environment and its conservation and to assist in the conservation of the environment particularly in areas where Collyweston stone slate is used as a natural roofing material on vernacular buildings, buildings of architectural interest and places of worship.
To achieve the above, the Memorandum of Association gives wide ranging powers including purchase, lease, procuring donations, grants etc., establish and support any charitable association or institution and to subscribe monies for charitable purposes.
