Aims of the CSST:
To
advance the training of apprentices by craftsmen already engaged in the craft
of winning, splitting, dressing and laying Collyweston Stone Slate
To
promote research into the uses of Collyweston Slate and into methods of
preparing and dressing slate for use and to publish the information gained from
such research.
To
achieve the above, the Memorandum of Association gives wide ranging powers
including purchase, lease, procuring donations, grants etc., establish and
support any charitable association or institution and to subscribe monies for
charitable purposes.
